My father's family left generations ago, settling in a Pennsylvania town they named Avoca—same as the village they'd left behind..

Inside the Avoca Handweavers, wooden looms clack their ancient rhythm. In the shop, surrounded by every shade of Irish green, I found it—the color that was somehow all of them at once. Moss on stone. Memory made visible.

I couldn't bring back the looms or the skill, but I found emerald stones in that exact green and strung them myself.

Now I wear it to remember: we're woven together across oceans, two Avocas connected by more than a name. By color, by craft, by the truth that beautiful things are made one thread at a time.
